Hawks’ Hoops crush Connellsville

The boys’ varsity basketball team defeated Connellsville on Tuesday, Feb. 7 with ease by a score of 80-58.

Senior Justin Gilmore dumped in 23 points with 4 three-pointers in the first quarter alone. Ryan Meis finished with 14 points, while Justin Meis and Nicholas Bomar each had 12.

Gilmore said after the game, “We knew we wanted this last home game, it’s one step closer to achieving our goal of winning the rest of our games this season.”

Now with a two-game winning streak, the boys look to win out the rest of the year. With a victory against Baldwin on Friday, Feb. 10, they will be one game away from accomplishing their goal.
